Itunes doesn't recognize my iphone

Hello ! my problem is that I had download the last version of Itunes ( 10.01) but he doesn't recognize my Iphone (5c ) but it's weird because my computer did ! But i heard that i need to have IOS10 for using Itunes 10.01 , that's true ? Because i did the update of Itunes on my computer before to have IOS10 on my phone ( in addition i didn't had the update , IOS10 , on my phone so i had to do it manually on Itunes ) ! So what can I do ?
